Lauren Paley
Lauren Paley is Associate Manager of Nonprofit & Small Business Legal Assistance Programs (NPSB) at the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. In this role, she manages the screening of D.C. community nonprofits and small businesses seeking on-going legal assistance, brief advice services, or training on transactional and corporate law issues—including entity formation, governance, commercial leasing, intellectual property, employment law, contracts, and risk management. She also maintains NPSB’s online resource center, edits its nonprofit newsletter and legal alerts, and produces its webinars.
Prior to joining the Pro Bono Center, Lauren worked at Levine Blaszak Block & Boothby, a communications and information technology law firm, where she maintained client files and first witnessed the positive impact pro bono work can make on local communities. She has more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and previously worked at youth engagement, environmental, and investigative journalism nonprofits.
Paley holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the George Washington University.
